Planning and Zoning

Per the Colorado Revised Statutes, the Town of Rangely has established a Planning and Zoning Commission entrusted with guiding the town's development in a manner that aligns with its vision and goals. Comprising seven dedicated members appointed by the Board of Trustees, the Commission operates under a framework designed to ensure representation, accountability, and expertise. Members serve staggered four-year terms, with vacancies filled following each municipal election to maintain continuity and fresh perspectives.

Within the Commission, leadership emerges through the election of a Chairman and other officers, selected from among its members.
