Shortly after birth, our nursery team will ensure that your infant is comfortable and adjusting well to life outside the womb. They will assess your baby's condition and assign an Apgar score, evaluating color, breathing, tone, and response to stimulation. Most babies are awake for the first one to two hours, providing a precious time for cuddling and bonding. We encourage you to cherish this moment and get to know your newborn. During this period, your baby will likely feed and then spend the majority of the first day sleeping. After this initial bonding time, routine care will be provided by our nursing staff in the nursery, unless any urgent health needs require immediate attention.
