According to the Green Valley Sahuarita Chamber of Commerce, Green Valley was established in 1964. Southwestern houses built after 1964 were often elastomeric coated roofs. Many of the Green Valley houses have these style roofs. Elastomeric coated roofs need routine maintenance to prevent leaks. In fact, they should be looked at every year before the monsoon to be sure there are no problems.
